Step 1: Connect your Intercom Workspace

Click on Connect & choose the Intercom Workspace you would like to connect Slack to.

Step 2: Connect Slack

1. Hover to the Slack Channel in Octopods dashboard.

2. Click on Connect Slack Accounts & choose the Slack workspace you would like to connect to Intercom.

3. Review needed permissions & click Allow:

That's it. Your Slack workspace is now connected to Intercom.

Currently, we support manual syncing from Slack to Intercom, meaning you choose which Slack threads you wish to sync in Intercom.

1. Hover to the Slack thread and click on More Actions button

2. From the drop down menu, click on Sync to Intercom

3. Octopods will join the channel*

*Note, Octopods can only join public channels. Make sure to invite Octopods if the channel is private

4. Octopods will create a new Intercom conversation for this thread

Octopods will add a ticket emoji and reply to the thread with a link to the Intercom conversation.

5. That is it! Replies will be synced back and forth

Octopods syncs your agents name & username, replying as them in Slack!

Now your Intercom Slack integration is complete. You can start receiving and responding to your Slack threads from Intercom 🙌
