This guide will take you through the process of applying for a WhatsApp account with 360 Dialog. The entire process can take two to four weeks.

Prerequisites: What you need before applying

1. A phone number. It must be a clean number; a number that has not been registered for WhatsApp Business API in the past, and is currently not registered on the WhatsApp mobile app.

2. Credit card for payment. 360 Dialog requires your payment details as part of your application. You will only be charged the US$50/month fee after your account is approved and activated.

2. A verified Facebook Business Manager ID. You can obtain this from your Facebook Business settings. (Please note: This is not the same as your Facebook page ID).

Step 1: Request Access with 360 Dialog

To begin, fill in this form on 360 Dialog's website and accept the terms of service:

Note: You must use this link in order to obtain the reduced price of $50/month from 360 Dialog.

You will be asked to enter your payment information right away. You won't be charged until and unless your account has been approved and activated.

You will need the following information for the form:

  • The phone number you wish to register for WhatsApp Business.
  • A verified Facebook Business Manager ID. You can obtain this from your Facebook Business settings. (Please note: This is not the same as your Facebook page ID).
    If your Facebook Business ID is not verified, follow the following instructions to obtain verification. The process takes about one week:

  • Your Legal Company Name, as listed in your Facebook Business Manager.

Step 2: Approve Messaging Request in FB Business Manager

After you've filled in the form, the 360 Dialog team will review your request and contact you with further instructions.

You will receive a "Messaging on Behalf" request in your Facebook Business Manager as part of this process. You can view and approve this request through this link: https://business.facebook.com/settings/requests/received_requests

Step 3: Provide further information to the 360 Dialog support team

The 360 Dialog team will ask you for additional information, such as your WhatsApp account's profile picture, display name, and other profile details.

Step 4: Number verification

Once your account has been approved, the final step would be to verify the number.

You will receive a PIN code on your number, and 360 Dialog will arrange for a time that suits you. The PIN code will be sent via SMS for SIM card numbers, or via phone call for landlines and virtual numbers.

Step 5: 360 Dialog completes your account registration

Once step 4 is complete, 360 Dialog will take over to process the rest of your application. You will receive a confirmation email with your account information.

Your account is now ready to be connected to Intercom.
