Prerequisites:

  1. You need an Instagram Business Account.

  2. Your Instagram Business Account should be connected to your Facebook Page.

To connect your Instagram account and your Facebook page:

Go to your Facebook Page Click on Page Settings Click Instagram in the left column, then click Connect Account. You can find Facebook guide here.

3. You must enable Business Messaging on your Instagram Account through Instagram mobile app. Here's how you can do it:


Step 1: Subscribe to our Instagram plan

You can do it from Billing or as a part of our connection flow.


Step 2: Add Instagram Business channel

2.1 In your Octopods dashboard, click on Instagram:


2.2 Click on Connect Instagram Accounts


Step 3: Connect your Instagram Account and Facebook page

3.1 In the next steps you'll need to connect your Facebook Page and Instagram Account. We recommend to select all the Pages and Accounts you own.


3.2 Select your Instagram Business Account


3.3 Select your Facebook Page


3.4 Please make sure to keep the following permissions and press Done


You'll see the following:

Press OK, and we will redirect you back to Octopods dashboard.


Step 4: Activate your Instagram Business Account

On our dashboard you'll see the list of available Instagram Accounts. Choose the one you want to connect and press Activate


Done, your Instagram Business Account is now connected to Octopods ✨

You can start receiving and responding to your Instagram DMs directly from Intercom inbox.
