Open the Payment Method card
Sign in to Octopods and open Billing & Subscriptions from your account menu.
Scroll down to the Payment Method section on the page.
The card panel shows what’s currently on file: the card brand, the last four digits, the expiration month and year, and the card’s country of issue.
If no card is saved yet, you’ll see a dashed placeholder that reads “No payment method — Add a card to manage your subscriptions.”
Add or update your card
The Update payment method form sits right below the saved card:
Click inside the Card details field.
Enter the card number, expiration date, CVC, and postal code as prompted.
Click Update Card.
A confirmation prompt asks, “Are you sure you want to update your card?” — click OK to continue.
The button reads “Updating card…” while the card is saved.
Once the update succeeds, the Payment Method card refreshes to show the new brand, last four digits, and expiration date.
What Octopods accepts
Octopods accepts major credit and debit cards. The card is used for:
The first invoice when a subscription’s 7-day trial ends.
Recurring monthly charges on each of your active subscriptions.
Any prorated charges from upgrading mid-cycle.
Messaging add-on invoices at the end of the month.
One card, all subscriptions
The saved card applies to every subscription on the account. When you subscribe to a second plan, you’ll see a “We’ll use your card on file for this subscription” confirmation on the subscribe page instead of a card entry form.
If you want to switch cards, update the Payment Method card at any time — the change takes effect immediately and will be used for the next invoice across every plan.
If a payment fails
If a card is declined or expires before renewal, the invoice is marked Payment Failed in the Invoices section. Update the Payment Method card with a working card, and Octopods will retry the charge against the new card for you.
See Viewing Invoices for how to spot a failed invoice and confirm when it’s been paid.
Tip: If your card is close to expiring, update it before the next billing cycle so your subscriptions don’t briefly land in Payment Failed. You can check the expiration date right on the Payment Method card.
