Connection health | What to do |
Signed in to Telegram | The account is signed in and ready to send replies. Test with a new private message from another Telegram account. |

This account is no longer connected | Disconnect the channel and connect the account again using the steps below. |
Can’t check right now | Octopods could not check the connection. Try Check now again later. This status alone does not mean your account is disconnected. |
The badge beside the channel name shows Needs reconnecting when the account is no longer connected, or Not checked when its status could not be checked. Use the health card for the full explanation.
The QR code does not connect
Open Telegram on your phone with the account you want to connect.
Go to Settings → Devices → Link Desktop Device, then scan the current code on Octopods’ Scan to connect page.
Complete any confirmation in Telegram and keep the Octopods page open while it displays Waiting for Telegram.
If Octopods asks for your cloud password or login email, complete that screen and click Connect.
If you cannot scan, click Use your phone number and sign in using your Telegram phone number instead.
The code refreshes automatically. If the page displays Can’t reach Telegram right now, still trying., give it time to retry. If the problem continues, try again later.
The login code is missing or rejected
The phone-number flow sends you to the chat from Telegram in your Telegram app. Check that chat on any device where the account is signed in.
On Enter the code., fill all five boxes before clicking Connect. You can paste the full code into the first box. If you entered the wrong number, click Use a different number and enter the correct number with + and its country code.
If you see Telegram didn’t accept that. Check it and try again., check the value requested on the current screen and try again. The message can apply to a code, password, or other sign-in information; it does not always mean the phone number is wrong.
Telegram asks for a password or email
Enter your cloud password. asks for the Telegram two-step verification password on that account. Entering your Octopods password will not complete this step.
Enter your login email. asks for the email tied to your Telegram account. If Enter the email code. follows, check that email inbox for the code from Telegram. Click Connect after completing each screen.

Reconnect an account
Use these steps when Connection health says This account is no longer connected. You need admin access in Octopods and access to the Telegram account to connect it again.
Warning: Deactivating the channel stops message sync between the Telegram account and your workspace. The existing connection cannot be restored; you will need to create a new connection.
Open the Telegram Personal channel’s details page in Octopods.
In Danger Zone, click Deactivate Telegram Personal Channel and confirm the action.
Return to your workspace’s channels and select Telegram Personal from the channel choices.
Follow Setting Up Telegram Personal to connect the account again using a QR code or phone number.
Confirm Signed in to Telegram in Connection health, then test a new private message and an Intercom reply.
A message does not appear in Intercom
Check that you are looking in the Intercom workspace where you connected the account. Test with a new private, one-to-one message from another Telegram account. Telegram Personal does not sync group or Telegram channel messages.
If connection health says Signed in to Telegram but the test message or your reply still does not arrive, contact Octopods support with the workspace, channel name, time of the test, and any error shown. Do not include login codes or passwords.
