Before you start
Admin access is required. Only account admins can create, change, or cancel subscriptions. If you don’t see the Billing & Subscriptions page in your Octopods account, ask an admin on your team to subscribe on your behalf.
Have a payment card ready. Octopods collects card details during the signup flow, but no charge is made until your 7-day trial ends. EU customers can also enter a VAT number to apply reverse charge.
Open the subscription page
Sign in to Octopods and go to your account.
Open Billing & Subscriptions from the account menu.
If your account has no active plan yet, you’ll land on the Subscribe to Octopods page. Otherwise, you’ll see your active subscriptions and an Expand Your Integration section listing any products you haven’t subscribed to yet — both routes lead to the same subscribe flow.
Pick a plan
On the Subscribe to Octopods page, click Subscribe on the product you want:
Omnichannel — covers a mix of messaging channels (Messenger, Telegram, LINE, Viber, and more) connected to your customer platform.
WhatsApp Business — covers one or more WhatsApp Business numbers.
Instagram — covers Instagram DM accounts.
Slack — covers Slack workspaces.

Choose how many channels to cover
On the plan’s subscribe page you’ll pick the starting quantity:
Omnichannel — “Number of Channels”
WhatsApp Business — “Number of WhatsApp Business Channels”
Instagram — “Number of Instagram Accounts”
Slack — “Number of Slack Workspaces”
Pick how many you want to start with. The Monthly cost below the selector updates to reflect the quantity you chose. You can subscribe for between 1 and 50 units per plan, and you can change the quantity later at any time.
Enter your billing address
Below the quantity selector, fill in the Billing Address:
Address line 1 — Street address.
Address line 2 — Apartment, suite, etc. (optional).
City
State / Province
ZIP / Postal code
Country — Pick your country from the dropdown.
VAT Number — Optional for EU businesses. If you enter a valid VAT number from an EU country other than Ireland, reverse charge is applied and no VAT is added to your invoices.

Enter your payment details
Below the billing address, enter your card details in the Card information field. Octopods accepts major credit and debit cards.
If you’ve already added a card to your account from a previous subscription, you’ll see a We’ll use your card on file for this subscription confirmation instead of the card entry form. You can update the card later from the Payment Method section on the Billing & Subscriptions page.
Start your trial
Review the plan name, quantity, and monthly cost shown above the submit button.
Click Start your 7 day free trial.
You’ll see the button change to “Subscribing to Octopods…” while the subscription is created.
Once the subscription is set up, you’re redirected back to Billing & Subscriptions. The plan now appears under Active Subscriptions with a Trialing badge and its trial end date.
No charge is made during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you won’t be billed.
What happens next
Connect your channels. Once your subscription is active, connect the channels it covers to your workspace — for example, adding WhatsApp numbers after subscribing to WhatsApp Business, or connecting Slack workspaces after subscribing to Slack.
Review your first invoice. When the trial ends, Octopods creates your first invoice and charges the card on file. You can find it in the Invoices section on Billing & Subscriptions.
Combine with other plans. Subscriptions can be stacked — subscribe to as many products as you need. Each one starts its own 7-day trial from the day you subscribe.
Tip: If you’re not sure how many channels you’ll need, start with the minimum. You can add more at any time with prorated billing, and downgrading is also possible once you’ve deactivated the extra channels.
